The Luck of Eden Hall is a contemporary psychedelic band with a great sound and style. What I liked especially about their clip is the way it mixes 60′s psychedelia visual style with more contemporary visuals. Enjoy.
Procrastination by Johnny Kelly
18 FebA beautiful video about procrastination, shot, animated and directed by Johnny Kelly, and narrated by Brian Quinn.

Psychedelic Beyonce – Countdown
13 FebAfter we’ve had a psychedelic Lady Gaga, a psychedelic Rihanna, and a psychedelic Keisha, last October Beyonce came out with a new video clip full of exubertantly flashy colors and a very psychedelically evocative style.
The Little Girl and the Squid
4 FebI liked the aesthetics and feel of this one, done by Will Chason based on two parts out of a rock opera by his band “The Dutchmen”.
Arise Chapter 01 – Instructions
30 JanOne of the most psychedelic and ingenious videos in the history of the internet (Even though it was created before the web, for video tapes). Ivan Stang, founder of the Church of the SubGenius directed this wildly ingenious video clip.
It is interesting to note, that many of the effects of the video tape, according to the speaker are similar if not identical to those of psychedelic substances. However, the tone itself is much more commanding and sinister than that usually associated with psychedelics.
The video looks like some kind of parody on mind control and hallucinations, but what I find to be the most hilarious is the name “Church of the SubGenius”, created intentionally in order to become semantically ossified and for people to start using it and say that they are “part of Church of the SubGenius” without thinking about what the actual meaning is of the name is…
And here is another one…
Theater of the Mind – Duff Hendrickson
28 JanDuff Hendrickson started making psychedelic films in the 1970s and has been active ever since. “The Theater of the Mind” is a highly surreal, highly psychedelic into the innerspace on the human mind, where Hendrickson finds very bizzare phenomena.
R.E.M Music videos
23 JanIt was some surprise for me to find out that the music videos to two of R.E.M’s most well-known singles from the 90′s have a somewhat psychedelic style to them.
Both of them have hallucinatory qualities to them, but I especially like how the beautiful video for “Losing My Religion” has the feeling that it takes place inside someone’s mind. The things that the imagery does to the watcher’s imagination… I guess that’s the sort of thing that Terrence McKenna said about it that ”There is a transcendental dimension beyond language…”.
I would also recommend to watch them without the sound, especially the first one. The images can speak for themselves.
Dreams That Money Can Buy (1947 Experimental Film)
21 JanAd writes:Here’s a cool full length movie created by some great classic surrealists (including Ernst and Duchamp). It’s called Dreams that Money Can Buy. I’ve been watching it with my cat, who also seems to be enjoying it.

Infectious laughter
16 JanLaughter is a strong and common mind alter-er.
Here, a whole car on a subway gets a strong mind alteration by making each other burst into laughter, giving everyone around a raise in endorphins. Even watching the video gets the watcher into another, humorous consciousness. Prepare for a gleeful, substance-less high (Except for the chemicals of pleasure in your brain, of course).
