CBM 8032 AV

The CBM 8032 AV performance is running on five iconic Commodore CBM 8032 computers from 1980, connected together to form an audiovisual instrument, played by the artist on stage.

These computers from the beginning of the personal computer age can only produce simple green low resolution graphics and they need custom hardware to create sound. Low level programming in assembler is necessary to achieve the real time audio and video signals, but these limitations also inspire a very specific and unique aesthetic, which defines the identity of this project.
