Grace Jones Pee Wee/Snow Miser Heat Miser

I really can’t stomach most holiday TV specials, but the 1988 “Christmas at Pee Wee’s Playhouse” is spectacularly weird and lovely. This version of Grace Jones singing “The Little Drummer Boy” showcases Jones’s otherworldly beauty and yes, grace.

The Snow Miser/Heat Miser song from Rankin and Bass’ 1974 stop-motion special “The Year Without a Santa Clause” is super catchy and the art direction is a saturated masterpiece. From the pogo sticking demon elves to the Heat Misers flaming hairdo, this one is an original.
