The Infinite- Joseph Yeh
29 Aug“The Infinite” is a beautifully executed animated film exploring the birth of the universe. Made with assistance from the Alfred P. Sloane Foundation for science in film, this was Joseph Yeh’s graduation thesis fron the University of Southern California’s animation program.

15 AugThis video is made entirely from photographs and video footage.
Various techniques in time-lapse photography and long exposure photography are incorporated with real time footage.
The variety of images were later digitally manipulated and stacked in a 3d environment.

Oingo Boingo on “The Gong Show”

Last night, my husband and I were watching old episodes of that 1970’s daytime TV mayhem known as The Gong Show, and remembering how much joy it brought to our childhoods. Created and emceed by Chuck Barris, The Gong Show, featured a variety of acts judged and often gonged by celebrity judges. In this clip, The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, take over the stage in psychedelic outfits and over the top musicianship. Can you spot famous movie soundtrack composer (Batman, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Edward Scissorhands) Danny Elfman?
