The effect of the panoramic view in this video is wonderful. It makes you feel like spying into a vast alien world that is continuously revealed and hidden. This strengthens the impression of an artificial nature that is constantly changing before you can grasp it.

I suggest Apocalypse Now as another classic of psychedelic cinema.
One of the strongest psychedelic scenes was not even a part of the movie. You actually see the set for the Kurz Compound being blown up after the shooting of the movie was finished. Using the footage for the ending credits let to a lot of speculation about an alternative ending (check out Coppola’s comment in the link above for more information – also for better video quality).

Lykke Li and Johan Söderberg are not afraid of old stereotypes. They just pick them up and use them as stone tablets to write in their new laws. When this Scandinavian heathen valkyrie adorns herself with typical male sexual metaphors, those metaphors start to smell like shrunken heads and gleam like hunting trophies. So we better be careful what we call her since she is going to use it against us in her satanic dissemination rituals. In her voodoo, a word we might have dropped carelessly can be applied instead of a lost hair. In the center of the kaleidoscope she is dancing to the beat of the tribal drums while pulses of light move in on us from the “heart of darkness”. Her ink-stained fingers make clear: she is the one in charge of the Rorschach test.
…that is what a friend who told me about this video called it. And it is pretty spot on. The video for Bear in Heaven’s “Sinful Nature” by director Yoonha Park is uncanny valley’s take on the slick fairytale drowned in a very synthetic high. Bam!
(My favourite part is the yellow Walkman pirouetting through the scene while that Julia Robots is stripping out of her top around 1:24)
