Blueberry Ayahusca Scene

1 Oct

“Blueberry”, A.K.A “Renegade” (2004) is one of the most psychedelic films I’ve ever seen. It is a rare film which has a trip-like feeling from beginning to end.

This sequence, portraying an Ayahuasca experience undergone by the hero Vincent Cassel near the end of the movie, is one of the most breathtaking depictions of the psychedelic experience ever created. Lo and behold.

Syncrosect (2004)

7 Sep

Syncrosect is a collaboration between psychedelic trance musician Mr. Peculiar (Dustin Saalfield) and visual artist The Shapeshifter (Alex Courtney).
The idea of Syncrosect is to visually capture the vibrant energy and rich atmospheres of trance music. The system used to achieve this involves separating out individual sounds and creating animations to match. The animation loops are then composited and sequenced to precisely match the audio.

They have uploaded two of the six tracks on the DVD to Vimeo, so click on the Vimeo-text to get to the other one.

Psychedelic Visions from Other Worlds

Other worlds – J. Kounen (2004)

Ayahuasca induced DMT visions guided by Shipibo Shamens deep in the Peruvian Amazons. This is the final scene from Jan Kounen’s documentary Other Worlds (“D’Autres Mondes”).

…We all share a universal mythology, which serves as a source for the visions. Each and every one of us is an infinite universe, where angels and demons make up our thoughts, emotions, memory and our body…
