Spring is coming, nature is growing, and it’s beautiful to watch.
BBC Life – Plants
28 MarOne of my favorite things to do in the period of recuperation from a psychedelic experience is to watch a good nature film. While much of the stuff we usually watch is hardly bearable in the sensitive state of mind following these types of voyages, nature films are almost always harmoniously attuned with psychedelic afterglow. This short video clip from the 2009 BBC show Life shows one-year’s growth of the nature in a forest, in less than a minute’s time. It’s extraordinary not only as a technical feat but also as a paean to nature. The full show (51 minutes) is also highly recommended, especially for the types of situations described above.

Ashes to snow
18 JanAshes to snow is one of the most impressively psychedelic films I have watched. It is like a prayer that slowly enfolds on the screen, escorting the viewer through endless realms of devotion. A film which aims to capture that elusive moment of awareness and bring it to the screen. I highly recommend watching the full thing with open eyes and heart and an expanded mind.
“Manta Ray” by J. Ralph & Antony (“Racing Extinction” Trailer)

I am suggesting the label Edudelia for this beautiful trailer for Louie Psihoyos’ documentary “Racing Extinction” on the secret world of plankton.
Robert Seidel – Magnitude
30 NovRobert Seidel created long-exposure time-based laser drawings based on the mountain terrain of the San Andreas Fault. To begin, Seidel derived each laser pattern from creating digital line drawings: gestural markings suggestive of curve progressions seen within the Richter Scale or tectonic deformations. These minimalist sketches were manipulated into complex transformational sequences scribed by the laser onto the desert’s topology.
