For some people, drugs are an escape. This clip may represent some of them. it also reminded me the surrealistic and even psychedelic look of animation in the 1920’s.
Israeli rock group Rockfour has had a long fledged flirt with psychedelic elements. Their albums show a great amount of nostalgia to the sixties and their songs often sound like attempts to mimic the musical style of the sixties (Which is both fun, as well as at other times somewhat disappointing). Likewise, the videoclip for Rockfour’s time machine is a contemporary attempt to mimic the aesthetics of the psychedelic videoclip of the late sixities and early seventies (While making some homage to 1950’s sci-fi films). The result is a pretty accurate mimesis which blends these old motives in a fun way.

An amazing kaleidoscopic music clip by the Chemical Brothers. Jumping between dimensions and different perceptions of space and possibilities is what is.

Ori Toor had just finished Shenkar A of Design, and this is his final project. Shenkar’s annual exhibition will open on 15/7/2010.
This is gorgeous, Ori! Good luck in real life, and may you bring color and psychedelic goodness to all your future projects!
(Thanks Matan, for the link!)
Wow! An extremely orgiastic splashing of colors in this one! The whole world is dissected and reassembled into glowing color figures in this absolutely amazing psychedelic video created by Anthony Fransisco Schepperd for the Blockheads track “The music scene”.

If Coltrane’s sax sounds could materialize themselves, this is how they’d look. Michal Levy’s Giant Steps.
