“water – sound – drawing” by A. Lauterwasser & S. Keller

5 Oct

I am working on a project with a collective of musician, dancers, videasts, a project dealing with the power of vibration, the power of nature, and the power of humans…

During my research, I discovered this incredible biologist, and artist, who works with sound and water, Alexander Lauterwasser is a master in hist art…

At the performance “under water 03”, Stefan Keller combined his music, “water-sound-drawings” by Alexander Lauterwasser, “sound drawings” by Stefan Keller and text performed by Marco Caduff.

Apparition – Klaus Obermaier & Ars Electronica Futurelab

10 Aug

As a performer and a videast, I am strongly interested by both dance, performing and video !

Recently, on of my friend showed me this stuning work by Klaus Obermaier in inyteractive video,

I naturally wanted to share it with you !

An interactive dance and media performance conceived and directed by Klaus Obermaier, in collaboration with the Ars Electronica Futurelab, featuring Desirée Kongerød and Rob Tannion.

– What choreography emerges when software is your partner?
– When virtual and actual image space share the same physics?
– Where everything that moves on the stage is both interactive and independent?
– And any form, dancing or still, can be transformed into a kinetic projection surface?

Something Primitive

30 Jul

“Something Primitive” is an absoutely experimental film which grabs the user into the strange world of a psilocybin mushroom trip.

“The video takes the viewer through a trip: First they’re a human being, then they are acquainted with psilocybin mushrooms – then they are inside the center of information.”

If you want to know more about the piece and it’s meaning be sure to read the artist’s statement, on YouTube, which starts with the warning that “the video has been identified by Epilepsy Action to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.”

Kodachrome Film Test: 1922 in Motion and Color

26 Jun

This is one of the most magical things I ever came across in the www.  I keep coming back to it and it never looses any of its strange emotional power. The pulsing light gives an enchanted life to the dance of picture postcard poses and the color is such an otherworldly hue, you might think the apparatus just blushed because of the overwhelming  intimacy.

When we experience new technologies like the recent reinvention of 3d cinema, we feel a kind of psychedelic stimulation. This little film test might give us an idea of the thrill of the first color motion pictures.
