In my opinion, this is one of the best psychedelic commercials ever made. It aired on television several years ago, but I recently came across it online. It features the superb artwork of Portland artist Betsy Walton.
Last year we posted some of Ben Ridgway’s work (here) with a teaser for Cellular Circuitry. The full version has now been released, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more accurate representation of what ayahuasca does to visual perception.
Kutay Cengil’s work consists of short 3d animations ranging from abstract to absurd. You can see more at his excellent tumblr page here.

This video and song are loosely part of an interesting new underground genre called Vaporwave. Vaporwave is a kind of pop-art that focuses on themes of commoditization, commercialism, and technology. This particular video and song use an early ’90s palette and mock hyper-capitalist values of affirmation, initiative, globalization…and even aerobics with the repetitive pedaling and sequence at 01:55.
