Through the heart of Detroit’s Automotive industry flowed a Rich, Deep, Viscous, Black Liquid; Motor Oil.These works of “Ink & Pressure” draw a visual correlation between Black Ink and Black Oil. Though the two substances may share a similar appearance their properties and interactions with the environment around them are wholly different. Oil is a profoundly indelible substance, leaving its mark through history economically, environmentally and sociologically; yet rarely do we see the imprint of the substance itself.
