In this music video to one of his songs, the great psychedelic artist Jimi Hendrix is spiritually resurrected. During one night of camping outdoors, a group of hikers face an alteration of time and space where his spirit never died and returns for a magical performance.

Jan Kounen / The last red chaperone

13 Jul

I already talked about Jan Kounen, one of my favorite movie director, actor, writer and documentary maker in psychedelia …

Today, I want to show you “The last red  chaperone”, his version of the famous fairy…

It’s in french and spanish subtitled, but the fact here is much more about the visuals and the techniques he used to give us the perception he wanted, and it’s a success !

Please, enjoy 😉

Popee The Performer is here to freak you out!

10 Jul

In case you ever thought that even a bad trip has some truth to tell you, there should be more than enough truth in this show to endure its uncanny “realism”.

Please be careful watching this in any unstable condition of the mind and… enjoy!

Takashi Murakami Superflat Monogram

9 Jul

A Japanese Alice in wonderland falls down the rabbit hole in search of her cellphone and lands in a bizarre world of magical brands. This amazing Superflat Louis Vitton by Takashi Murakami bears resemblance to Murakami’s Superflat First Love, and uses similar motives. It is a yet higher level of the mixture of the worlds of psychedelia, consumerism and magic.

Jan Kounen / Bluberry / Ayahusca trip

6 Jul

As a Jan Kounen’s movie, I wanted to present a short sample…

Depiction of an ayahuasca trip from the movie Renegade aka Blueberry.

One of the best way I found to describe it in a movie…since it will never be possible to describe it as it is in reality…

Slit-Scan Carnival

4 Jul

This highly weird and trippy clip was produced using the same technique like the amazing Stargate sequence in “2001: A Space Odyssey”, slit-scan photography/animation.
