10 JulFor some people, drugs are an escape. This clip may represent some of them. it also reminded me the surrealistic and even psychedelic look of animation in the 1920’s.
Rockfour – Time Machine
9 JulIsraeli rock group Rockfour has had a long fledged flirt with psychedelic elements. Their albums show a great amount of nostalgia to the sixties and their songs often sound like attempts to mimic the musical style of the sixties (Which is both fun, as well as at other times somewhat disappointing). Likewise, the videoclip for Rockfour’s time machine is a contemporary attempt to mimic the aesthetics of the psychedelic videoclip of the late sixities and early seventies (While making some homage to 1950’s sci-fi films). The result is a pretty accurate mimesis which blends these old motives in a fun way.

God, who is Nature as a conscious self, gazes at himself with wonder – and worlds arise.
All is perfect, beautiful and nonexistent. Whatever you see here is an invitation to observe the observer, the center of perception.
