I’m not sure how much overlap there is in demographics between The Daily Psychedelic Video and avid followers of American football. The latter isn’t something that’s ever held my attention, but when a friend of mine sent me this video after I had been outside the US for a while, I developed a new appreciation for how bizarre the whole scene really is.
I invite you to bask in the insanity.
Thank you, Kyle, for showing me this one.
I discovered the songs of this guy via the radio here in my French hometown, so went to check on the web for some music clips, and found a really interesting and trippy world going around Alex Krygier from Argentina ! This guy is a genius, his style ? as he describes it: voodoo cumbia, peruvian surf, tropical klezmer, andean twist… !

Based on a car journey distorted by temporal and spatial illusion, time is melting away on this trip. Set to a beautiful melancholic tune from Sunken Foal, with sublime feedback visuals, time-lapse and depth of field techniques. Dedicated to everyone embarking on inner and outer trips this weekend with your closest associates… [also happy ‘straya weekend!]
Gorgeous visuals overlaid on top of one another, imagery varied but put together oh so elegantly, mightily chilled out trip-hop to accompany it all. Ladies and gentlemen, I hope this one is a suitable contribution to your weekend recreations.
Simply stunning collaboration across the ages. The last time we featured Michel Gagné on DPV it was 2010.
simply a very classic psychedelic video for a very classic psychedelic garage rock tune.
enjoy!
(and don’t forget to get your stylish 3D goggles out for this one!)
[many thanks to Roland!]
I have great respect for simplicity. I admire this video for its use of just one feature of film editing to give us something to follow and anticipate the whole way through.
